Comer - Ada Sims Lowe Holliday, 94, went home to be with the Lord on, Friday, July 14, 2006.
A native of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Oren and Mary Lee Ashley Sims. She was first married to the late Harley Lowe and second to the late Edward Holliday. She was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Lowe. Mrs. Holliday was a caregiver at Nursing Homes and Hospitals and was a member of Comer Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, EAST, at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2006, with Rev. Rodney Owens officiating. Burial will be in the Farmington Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughter, Faye Kimbel of Athens; daughter-in-law, Jean S. Lowe of Winterville; two sisters, Helen Carruth of Watkinsville, Fannie Mae Bazzelle of Macon; one brother, Marvin Sims of Arnoldsville; four grandchildren, Mark, Greg, Steve Kimbel and Andy Lowe, and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 thru 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family is at the residence of Mrs. Faye Kimbel, 214 Meadow Creek Rd., Athens GA.
Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Comer Baptist Church.
