Bishop - Ada Camp, 94, died Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Silver Leaf Assisted Living Facility.
Born in Monongahela Penn., she was the daughter of the late George T. and Sue Butt Curdts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, A.B. Camp; brothers: Herbert Curdts and Dillworth; sisters: Helen Simmons and Margaret Goodman. Formerly of Jackson, TN, Mrs. Camp moved to the Athens, GA, area in 1989. She was a charter member of Oconee Presbyterian Church. Ada was always known as a very happy person and what made her happiest was being able to do for others.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of Silver Leaf Assisted Living Facility for the care and compassion shown to Mrs. Camp during her time there.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law: Cathy (David Nachman) Camp of Atlanta, GA, Geneele (Archie B. Crenshaw) Crenshaw of Bishop, GA; grandchildren: J.P. McChesney, Cindy Futrell, Candy Vadeboncoeur, Cissy Watson; eight great grandchildren; sister: Edna Rice of Jackson, TN; sisters-in-law: Mary Curdts of Ocala, FL, Mabel Camp Temple of Lakeland, FL; sister and brother-in-law: Mr. and Mrs. Vasco Camp, Jr. of Jackson, TN.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at 11AM at Oconee Presbyterian Church with Rev. Pam Driesell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will follow at the Crenshaw Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be J.P. McChesney, Ted Watson, John Vadeboncoeur, Hunt Watson, Court Futrell, Chase Futrell and Jack Camp.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
