Joshua Dale Bohannon, 44, passed away from an extended illness surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 4, 2024.
Josh was employed by Bimbo Bakeries USA as a Market Sales Leader for 15 years. He was an active member of Lexington Baptist Church. Josh was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and loved spending time at the lake with his family.
Josh is survived by his loving wife Amy Carver Bohannon of 15 years, two daughters, Kynlee and Rylee Belle and his dog Abbie. He is also survived by his mother Cindy Bohannon Crawford and his maternal grandmother Patsy Griffin. Other survivors include his nieces and nephews, Madison, Zach and Aubree Yawn, Jameson and Quincy McCall and Alex Bohannon.
Josh is preceded in death by his stepfather, Leon Crawford and his brother Cory Bohannon.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held at Lexington Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 3PM with Pastor Matt Bartlett officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers are Kent Huff, Clinton Day, Brent Griffiths, Chuck Gabriel, Bruce Pressley and Jimmy Love. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Burton, Jay Blalock and the Lexington Baptist Church Deacons.
Interment will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 2PM at Oakland Baptist Church in Hazlehurst, Georgia with Brother Royce Hulett officiating. Pallbearers are Dalton McCall, Justin Griffin, Zach Yawn, Todd Ursrey, Garrett Harrison and Justin Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Griffin and Jason Yawn.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a fund established for his daughters: Bohannon Memorial Fund at The Commercial Bank, Crawford, GA.
