Donna R. Wilson

Donna Richards Wilson, 79, of Watkinsville, passed away unexpectedly on January 28, 2024. Born on February 11, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Lauretta and John Richards.

Donna retired from the Terry College of Business at The University of Georgia. She was adventurous,  enjoyed traveling, and going on cruises with her husband of 60 years. Donna never left the house without her makeup, especially lipstick. She loved music, reading, shopping and her family.

Although gone too soon, Donna’s vibrant personality and welcoming presence made an impact on everyone she met. Her family’s hope is that her spirit will live on through those whose lives she touched.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Reed.

Survivors include her husband, James W. Wilson, Jr.; daughters, Marnie Wilson, Amy Demizio (Carl), Carie Johnson (Guy); brother, Clarke Richards (Charlotte); granddaughter, Hannah Haslett (John); brother in-law, David Reed; nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Lord & Stephens, WEST, Watkinsville. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
