Byron Emerson "Marty" Martin was 85 years old when he passed away on December 4, 2022.
A celebration of Marty's life will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East. Beginning at 1:00 p.m., the family will greet friends, and the service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Dr. Wayne Phillips, Pastor of Corinth Baptist Church will officiate.
Marty was born in Oak Hill, West Virginia in December of 1936 to the late Byron & Christine Martin. He proudly served in the United States Air Force division of the armed services for five plus years and during the Korean War. He worked with Ritz Camera that became Wolf Camera, then owned and operated The Camera Shop in downtown Athens, GA for over 20 years.
He is survived by his wife Ann Bradley Martin; they were married April 23, 1966. He is also survived by his son, Brad Martin (Ashley) and his daughter, Mary M. Bradford (Tom); his brother Dick Martin (Mary), and five wonderful grandchildren, Jackson Bradford, Morgan Bradford, Avery Martin, Will Martin and Jake Martin.
