Winterville

Alice Faye Lowe Miller was born on October 9, 1940. She was the sixth child born to Van Lowe and Ludelle Carter Lowe. She was raised on her family farm in Winterville, Georgia with her 9 brothers and sisters. She graduated from Oglethorpe County High School in 1958. She married her sweetheart Frank Coile Miller in May 1959. They were married for 49 years and together they raised 4 children and 9 grandchildren. Faye was a Christian woman. She was a faithful member of Corinth Baptist Church until her health declined and prevented her from attending regularly. She believed that Jesus was her savior and made sure to tell others how to get to heaven. She delighted in taking her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to church every Sunday while listening to the Gospel Greats on the radio. Faye always dressed to impress and she loved to shop. She loved jewelry, pocketbooks, and pretty home décor. Faye could always be counted on to lend a helping hand and make sure you were doing things the right way (her way). You could find her every evening watching Wheel of Fortune and enjoying microwave popcorn. In addition to her parents and husband Faye was preceded in death by her siblings Virginia McClain, Horace Lowe, Pat Lowe, and Bud Lowe. She is survived by her children Ricky (Patricia) Miller, Vicky (Ricky) Shelton, Elaine (Randy) Bryant all of Winterville and Regina (Dale) Coker of Comer. Her sisters Louise Esco of Bonaire, GA, Jean Colley of Moncks Corner, SC, Ruby Callaway of Winterville, GA, Barbara Kilgore and Brenda Butler both of Crawford GA. Her grandchildren Alyson (Brent) Mathis, Becky (Julio) Soto, Wesley (Virginia) Shelton, Amanda (Chris) Cutsail, Derek (Becky) McCormack, Andrew Coker, Adam Coker, and Victoria (Tyler) Whitsel. Her great-grandchildren Mathew, Anna Kate, Emilee, Cole, Sam, Nate, Landon, Jax, Conner, Carson, Marshall, William, and Tae Bell who is coming soon. At Faye’s request she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in a private service. Everyone is invited to join her family on September 16 th at 11:00 am in the cabin at Corinth Baptist Church for a memorial lunch. Please plan to bring your memories and laughter.
